The brand-new Hyundai Exter SUV will be introduced in the nation today by Hyundai Motor India. This SUV, which will be the manufacturer’s most reasonably priced model, will give its lineup of SUVs—which already includes models like the Venue, Creta, Alcazar, and Tucson—more bite.
Tata Motors surpassed Hyundai as the country’s top SUV manufacturer in 2022, despite Hyundai dominating the market in 2020 and 2021. More SUVs were sold even by Mahindra & Mahindra. With the release of the Hyundai Exter SUV, the automaker will try to reclaim its former glory in the SUV market.
The 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder Kappa petrol engine used in the Hyundai Exter is now E20 fuel ready. The engine produces 113.8Nm of maximum twisting force and 83PS of maximum power. Either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT can be used with it. Segment-first paddle shifters are also available. A CNG variant is also available; it has 69 PS and 95.2 Nm of torque and may be combined with a 5-speed MT.

The Hyundai Exter is advertised to get 19.4 kmpl for the gasoline MT, 19.2 kmpl for the gasoline AMT, and 27.1 kmpl per kilogram for the CNG MT.
While the Exter petrol MT is priced at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom), the Exter petrol AMT is priced at Rs 7.97 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Exter CNG MT is priced at Rs 8.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
