Tata Punch vs. Hyundai Exter – Comparison of a Normal Petrol Engine (Expected)

The Tata Punch is equipped with a 1.2L regular petrol engine and an AMT automatic transmission. A 1.2L regular petrol engine with a manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission will also be available for the Hyundai Exter.
Regarding the specifications, the Punch is probably going to have 3PS greater power while the Exter might have 1Nm more torque. The two automobiles appear to be about equal in terms of fuel efficiency, with just minor variances in mileage estimates.

In addition to the standard petrol-manual and automatic powertrains, Hyundai also stated that the Exter will be available with a manual CNG bi-fuel option. Although the specs haven’t been released yet, we anticipate that its performance numbers will be comparable to those of the Nios CNG. Therefore, it could provide 69 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque while claiming to achieve a CNG-fueled mileage of about 26 kmpkg. At the time this article was published, the Tata Punch lacks a CNG fuel option. However, Tata Motors has stated that a CNG bi-fuel option for the Punch is quite likely to be offered at some point in 2023. The Punch CNG’s main benefit, like that of the Altroz CNG, is that it will have a larger boot than other sporty hatchbacks coming in this range
