With a pair of carbon-fiber dance shoes, the new 2024 Ford Mustang GT Dark Horse looks amazing. Ford revealed today that when the Dark Horse performance variant goes on sale later this year, it will include a carbon wheel option. According to Ford, the lightweight wheels weigh 20.1 pounds each, making them around 37 percent lighter than Dark Horse aluminium wheels. They were created in conjunction with Carbon Revolution, and they join the carbon-fiber wheels already available on the GT supercar and the Mustang Shelby GT350R.
Carbon Revolution developed an aerospace engineering-inspired plasma arc spray into the front wheels to protect them from high temperatures induced by braking. The front wheels have 305/30R-19 Trofeo RS performance tyres and the rear wheels have 315/30R-19 tyres. The Mustang Dark Horse seen here is also done in a unique exterior paint colour dubbed Blue Ember, which is believed to alter hues depending on the lighting.

Along with the unique wheels and paint, Ford revealed the inside trim that is specific to the Dark Horse. The sombre cottage is decorated in black and blue tones. The steering wheel, door panels, shift boot, and Recaro performance seats all have bright Indigo Blue stitching. The Dark Horse Appearance kit adds a Deep Indigo Blue colour to the seat bolsters and seatbelts to complete the interior concept.
The seatbacks are upholstered in black Dinamica suede, while the bezels and vents on the dash are coated in a dark metallic shine that substitutes the silver tones found on lesser Mustang trim levels. The instrument panel, door panels, and three-spoke steering wheel all have carbon-fiber trim.
