Inside and out, the new Toyota Vellfire features updated styling and is built on the adaptable TNGA platform.

A complete model change for the well-liked Toyota Vellfire MPV is imminent. First images of the new Toyota Vellfire have surfaced online, showing the MPV at one of Toyota’s plants in Japan in full production spec. While the new Toyota Vellfire is anticipated to make its global debut in a few days, an India launch is not anticipated anytime soon.

Sharing the Lexus LM’s powertrain
Although the next-generation Toyota Vellfire’s powertrain specifications have not yet been released, we anticipate them to be similar to those found on the new Lexus LM, which also uses the TNGA-K platform. Depending on the market, the new Vellfire’s 2.5-liter petrol-hybrid engine should have a variety of power outputs.
The new Vellfire appears to pick up where the older model left off in terms of styling. Although the MPV has a distinctly Vellfire overall profile, closer inspection reveals numerous design variations. The side glasshouse is now a single unit that blends seamlessly with the large front quarter glass and does not have a noticeable divider behind the driver’s door, to start. The MPV has a more upscale appearance thanks to the blackened pillars with a chrome outline.
The second-generation Lexus LM MPV, which recently made its debut, is the basis for the new Vellfire; however, nearly every body panel appears to be unique. Being the Alphard’s more upscale counterpart, the Vellfire gets much more chrome treatment than its lesser sibling.
The front of the MPV is mostly covered by a massive six-slat grille, including some of the bumper. The grille features a large Toyota logo in the centre, two layers of headlamps on either side, with the bottom layer being slightly longer than the top layer and housing the primary projector headlamp arrangement.
A prominent connected chrome strip that begins vertically below the headlamp on one side and connects to the other to form a U-shaped pattern is added to the bottom half of the Vellfire’s front. The MPV’s rear features a V-shaped tail-lamp enclosure with adequate chrome accents, noticeable Vellfire badging, and a large Toyota logo in the middle.
A sizable spoiler with a chrome border is positioned at the top and contains the third stop lamp. The back also features a U-shaped chrome surround that connects vertically from one side to the other.
Although interior images are not yet available, it is safe to assume that the Vellfire will continue to offer a variety of well-equipped variants and seating options, including the executive lounge package that is also offered in the Indian market.
